  • SLP/COLD PASS/Titlum Tatlum

Fished this area quite a bit growing up but I just bought a boat for myself and wanted to take it out here in a week or so. I haven't usually fished during this time of year around that area. Does this area produce during late winter months? My other thought was to launch from Jamaica Beach and fish the coves in and around that area.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's the only place I fish outside of La. Got my first double flounder at the pier in Cold Pass last weekend. If you haven't been in a while, the guts and sand bars have all changed a bunch since I started fishing there in '05. If you launch at the County Park, keep an eye out for low tides. The bar at the opening to the launch is VERY shallow at low tide.

Yeah it can hold a few fish winter and spring. Fish the drop off into the guts or a moderate flat in either pass. Wear your PFD at all times wading the passes, they are steep and hard to get back up if you step off of one.
