  • HookNLine Software on Lowrance HDS7 Gen2

Morning! New to me Lowrance HDS7 Gen2...just installed the HookNLine sd card and don't see all the good stuff on my maps, surely it's a setting. Looking at the pdf file now.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Beer on me in Jamaica Beach!

    Thanks, Randy

Found out they only show the spots, no outlines in red like the hand maps.

      Correct
They show the location of the spot with a name. You have to have the actual map if you want the seasonal data, etc.
      Still a pretty good product

I would recommend Navionics Platinum Plus for the charts. You can make it like you are running the bay on google earth, or switch it to the actual chart option. You can even set it between the 2 based on depth. Ex: less than 2 feet- google earth image, over 2 feet - navigation chart.

      I have both programs.
      But I use a Simrad

I forgot about the red outline.
Havent seen one of those for West bay in 20 years.

If you want the most current reef outline to show up get troutsupports reef recon. https://troutsupport.com/reef-recon. Its bad to the bone

I second TroutSupport’s reef recon, I’ve caught more fish per trip since purchasing. https://troutsupport.com/reef-recon

Thanks guys, ya'll are awesome.. I could put some of the email messages up from anglers that got it if ya'll like. I've helped guys put it on their units and when it get's loaded and the flip to the chart view they are saying things like "Holy *****, YOU did ALL That" and "thank you for all the hours you put into this".. ok, I can't hold back, here's one of them. Note: It's currently compatible with ALL Lowrance and ALL Simrad and Available right now. I'm working on a file for the other brands as they don't all have the same firmware.
