  • Saturday Report

I finally got out on the water yesterday...fished West Bay and caught 2 keeper trout and 2 dinks on soft plastics. Didn't take any pics.

The fog was THICK in the morning but it turned out to be a nice day.

I'm still in the break-in period but so far so good. I love it!

That's exactly what I told my wife! :-)

I'm just about done with the second hour then I can turn her loose a bit.

Everyone I've asked is having a tough weekend. Of all the boats that have passed by, only one person has caught a keeper the last 2 days. Very foggy, but heck I've had plenty of luck in fog.

              Thanks for the report .
Fog I figure allows a measure of concealment up shallow for predator fish .

I pushed the dock around 7:30a...had decent visibility in the canals and didn't think it would be too bad. Once I got out in the bay, the fog was pretty thick. I went REAL slow to my destination.

Thanks for the report. I went down Saturday for a few hours mainly to run the boat since it's been a couple of weeks. Stopped at a couple of spots that were totally dead.. no bait and no bites. But on the bright side the boat ran great and it's always nice being out on the water! Also took care of some other choirs while I was down, like clearing away a bunch of dead plants from the freeze. Looking forward to things picking up as the weather continues to get warmer.

I went out Saturday morning too. Found some luck in Alligator Slough on soft plastics. Took the wife out on Sunday. Fog was bad so we didn't go out far.

It had me do a double take when I hauled it in. LOL

I was using Z-Man Scented PaddlerZ in Sexy Penny fishing the current around bend in the slough. Throwing them up current and letting them drift back into the washouts.
