Been a little busy at work (and the wife started a master bathroom remodel 3 weeks before Christmas) so just now getting round to posting a few reports.
Trip 1 - Tuesday before Thanksgiving
Booked a trip with Aqua Pimp himself for a winter session on West Bay. Fishing was on FIRE! We caught tons of trout! Kept 14 trout and 2 reds for the grease. We released several 4's and a couple of 5's...Greg caught one that went a little over 7 lbs...while standing right next to me. All on top waters. Just a great trip and learned a lot.
Trip 2 - Friday after Thanksgiving
Me and my boy Team Klown hit it early Friday morning. We managed 9 keepers and a few 4's that we released. Combination of tops and soft plastics. Bite was mid-morning, falling tide.
Trip 3 - Saturday, December 16th
Hit it again with Klown and a buddy I used to work with. We struggled to find any decent fish but did catch 3 keeper trout and 1 keeper red to 23". Stood in one spot and caught a bunch of shoolies to 14"...which beats not catching anything. No pics...all released.
Gonna head back down for a long New Year's weekend and try our luck again!
