SCHU here in Manvel. Water got to bottom of slab and then went over the road. House is built 12" above road level.
I helped 2 others demo the sheetrock and insulation out of the house. I am blessed beyond measure as I drove through several neighborhoods that werent so lucky, many in my subdivision as well.

We are dry at my place here in Baytown. A whole lot of people I know at church had water up to roof lines. So many vehicles lost. It seems everybody in town has pitched in and a lot of people are just waiting on trash pick up, insurance, and contractors to show up. People moved really quick getting stuff out of houses and sheetrock removed. Exxon brought in bunches of bleach spraying trucks and clean up teams to help. It is amazing to see how quickly it is turning around. It is going to take awhile to get it straight, but progress is being made. My wife and I are blessed beyond measure. Back to work [now in Channelview] tomorrow. Kids are back Thursday.
It will take time, but WE ARE Texans, we will return stronger!

My neighborhood in Alvin came out dry. Only 1 person seemed to get some water in their garage and that was it. Saturday was a long night though. Other parts of Alvin didn't fair as well. Lots of low spots.

Good to hear you guys are ok. I was down in Rockport the last week cleaning up homes from trees and gutting sheetrock. I knew Houston was in good hands with you guys.
