  • Saturday surf conditions

I'm trying to decide whether to fish the surf Saturday . The live feed looks like it's 1 1/2 foot and sandy green . SWELLS report says green and flat for tomorrow but they said something similar for today . Anyone have eyes on the surf or fish it today ?

Spent an hour in the surf this morning. A couple of dinks but was fishable. Moved to the bay and go on em in West. Will post a report later.

I flyfished the surf this morning at 11 Mile Road. All I got were a few hardheads, which totally destroy a fly.

I did see a guy catch a 25" speck on freelined live shrimp.

Thanks Walker ! Yeah , I don't fish my expensive corkys in the surf for that very reason . Hard plugs in the surf for me . The reports have been less than stellar but your 25" trout sighting dangles a glimmer of hope . I'll go and see what happens . You really don't know until you go.

I fished SLP this afternoon. Caught 4 dinks. The water is fishable, but the surf is not flat.
