Past weekend fishing

Had to take the boat into the dealership for it's 20 hour engine service, so broke out the kayak for a little weekend fishing. Took my son out on the kayak to fish the flats and he caught several 16-19" redfish on dead shrimp under a popping cork, plus a nice ladyfish, and several huge pinfish. No keepers but it was my son's first time to fish from the kayak so he had a great time. Sunday morning I waded the same area and caught several average sized (15-17") speckled trout on top water lures (skitter walk) and a few undersized redfish on gulp shrimp under a cork.
