Hey guys been wading dollar point and also levee reef lately. Wife and I have been doing pretty good with the live shrimp. We are having a blast. Just wanted to share a few pics. I'm guessing this is beginners luck! Anybody know what that last fish is?

I believe that is a toadfish, aka oyster toad, aka oyster fish.

Yep, some people in Texas call them dogfish, but a dogfish is a kind of shark. My buddy Vic used to call them Mother In Law Fish.

Believe it or not, they are excellent table fare. They're related to monkfish. If my grandmother, great aunt, or great grandmother saw me catch one and I didn't filet it for them. I WAS IN BIG TROUBLE.
