I was referring to the south shoreline of west bay. Super muddy right now. The dollar point you're talking about is off the dike, if we are on the same page. Before I bought a place in galveston I'd wade dollar often. We'd throw live shrimp with a popping cork and did ok. Once the water warms up we'd not do any good. But you're good as of right now, IMO.

It's been several years since I've fished the dike. The shoreline (coves) of Moses was fantastic for flounder around the gateway during tidal movement. But I've not been there since they built houses in that spot (from what I've heard).

I'm definitely not a expert by any means. But I hope you have as much fun as I did out there. One fish story, I lost a flounder (actually near dollar) that wouldn't have fit in my donut!

Are you referring to the shoreline at the Como Lake, Kayak/Canoe launch site in the Galveston State Park, North of the gulf side? Myself and two buds are going there Friday to kayak fish. Do you think it too muddy for Kayak fishing if going through the channel, and then West towards the concrete breakers?

Hey!, so I'm going to shoot you straight. I have no idea where como lake is. Never fished the state park. I'm assuming that's near the ferry?

Let me say this much as fact, the surf is still rough (fishable) but muddy as of this post. Snake island cove to the pass is beyond muddy as of 3 hours ago. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Como Lake is where we launch our kayaks. It's on the South side of West Bay. It's where I'm fishing in my member picture. Here's a map I marked up where the kayak launch sites are. There's even a fresh water bass lake in the middle of all the saltwater. Go figure.
