I am new on here going to San Louis pass for a week in mid July any beach fishing at that time of year any help or pointers appreciated

Should be pretty solid by then, just hope you get some calm days by then. If it's a north wind fish the surf side of the pass and look for bait concentrations. If it's a south wind, might look behind the pass and fish the nearest gut to the shoreline. The Galveston side of the bridge will have the best access.

have fun, and be safe. The pass claims lives every year of those that arn't prepared. The drop offs can be steep and easily loose footing, and currents can be swift. Good idea to where the life preserver.
