I'll just add this hear.. It's my fishing report from this past weekend at POC.. which is the very very far west end LOL.
Fished West Matty and POC over the weekend with a buddy of mine and did well. Hit the right number of trout in West on Saturday but the fish were small with only about half being 17 inch trout and 20 inch reds.
Sunday hit POC south shoreline in San Antonio Bay and used what we teach in the videos to hone into the right spot. We had structure, bait, and current and then started seeing and reading the slicks and the bait activity more intricately to pin point small groups of fish working and using that to pinpoint cast. Some of those small groups of fish had some real studs in them. We ended up with limits of trout to 22 (most ranged in the 17 to 22 range) and the reds were solid from 24 to 30. Water was still very fresh with only minimal salt in it probably somewhere in the 5ppt range, definitely less salty than in West Matty. Forage in the area was mainly mullet and shrimp. We were just off the color change and that dirtier water was fresh and frothy (meaning it was fresh).
The strikes were lead by using one knockers and she dogs but the Trout Support lure (Grass Walker) did the HEAVY lifting lifting easily catching the majority of the bigger fish accounting for 90% of the solid fish and studs on the stringer.
All good sweeeping hooksets resulted in solid hook ups; Reel down and set the hook. Finally got a chance to try the bait with a 4/0 VMC unweighted swim bait hook and results were good. The owner Twistlock seems to be the preferred favorite by customers in 4/0.
I can tell you it put a one knocker in check over the weekend. We caught a couple on both One knocker and She dog.. but after I finally put my bait TroutSupport Lure on (I still like fishing with other baits, hell after testing it for 7 years LOL sorta want to fish with something different.) But it was almost instant, went from dink to 17 and 18 just after 2 cast. Same thing happened on San Antonio bay on Sunday.. started with one knocker and buddy of mine was up 2 nice trout, I caught a nice 26 in red on top and decided to just put mine lure on just to 'see' and same thing.. went from being behind him to putting it on him.. 6 trout to 22 and 3 reds... to his 3 barely keeper trout.
I did slow down and fished it with more of a slow rod pump then twitch twitch, that slowed it down compared to a constant walk and it allowed it to work a little deeper into the 4' of water I was fishing. My buddy was impressed to say the least. He finally switched over but it was 11 by then and all but over.

Here's another testimonial I received through a third party yesterday. A guy was asking his friends If they had the DVD and this is what his friend told him about the big trout DVD.
This was from Justin Seifert (the friend he asked)
"I usually catch big trout in the winter as it is, but the video helped me understand why the areas I was catching were productive and why certain times were better than other"
The bigger thing is that once you learn what to look for and why, they you can apply it more frequently and find more areas just like it. It's fairly predictable
