Me and a couple of buddies had 3 nice days of fishing this past weekend.
Thursday morning we got out with Capt Glenn Stevens for the trip I won at the Winter Trout auction. Capt Glenn is a great dude and put us on some fish. All caught on live shrimp under a cork. He picked us up at my dock in JB and dropped us off there too. If you like to fish with live bait, Capt Glenn can put you on 'em. It was a fun trip.
Total keepers: 10 trout biggest being around 21".
Friday morning we waded West Bay. We caught 3 reds, 5 trout (biggest going 22") and 1 flounder...plus quite a few dinks. 1/4 oz jig with Chicken on a Chain, Pumpkinseed/chart, and Plum/chart. Steady incoming tide. The bite was early and turned off around 8:30a.
Saturday morning we hit the same places we had success on Friday morning...similar tide. We caught some dink reds and trout early...then the bite picked up around 10a and we caught 5 keeper trout. Same baits as Friday morning.
It was a great long weekend and the weather was about as good as it gets down here.
