Had the opportunity to fish Sunday Monday and Tuesday a couple weeks ago. Sunday I went out alone on the jetski. Started with topwater with no luck so I switched to a plum assassin and on the second cast felt a big thump which was immediately followed with a big girl jumping out of the water 3 times completely. On the third jump she got tail wrapped as well. Between the fight and the backwards pulling her in she was not in good shape. I tried for a few minutes to get her revived to no luck. I put her in my net for 10 minutes after that but she was belly up. She was 28" and went 7.5#. That was the only bite in that area so I made a move. Found a slick and it was up shallow so I tied back on the topwater and hooked up 3 times and landed 2 more fish (22" and 17"). Called it a day early so I could knock out some honey do's.

Monday I met up with Harvey and we started at the spot where I had the topwater action. First cast for him throwing plastics he missed a bite. A couple casts later I hook up with a beautiful 23" trout that I released followed by a missed blow up and a 17" trout landed and boxed. Made a couple more drifts in that area with no more luck so we made a few moves. By this time the wind was crazy so we called it a day early. Harvey got skunked....

Tuesday I met up with Chip and we decided we were going to switch it up and go wade. First spot had lots of bait and a couple slicks but no takers. We made a move and found some fish that would cooperate. I ended up with two trout on top one on plastic and a flounder. Big trout for me that day was only 19", lol. Chip was skunked......

Did you take that Sand Trout to the TPWD HQ and ask if it was a state record?

Never mind-thought ya said 6 pounds, not six inches.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
