12/27/16 trip

Launched the Jon boat at watermens marina in pirates. Had my line in the water around 7:39 starting at the channel exiting at the first island. Didn't see nothing then mad my way through Galveston state park ans didn't see nothing I made it to danas and saw bait and waders but no fish made my way back and fished still not a bite! Still a struggle I am learning!

Don't feel alone, Daniel. I fished in fog from 8AM to 1PM and caught 1 undersized flounder. Ran into 2 friends in their boats, so we rafted up while they fished live shrimp. One of the guys had his 3 young sons with him they caught a few puppy drum and were thrilled......It made what should have been a disappointing trip into something enjoyable to watch.

It happens to all of us. My best advice is threefold: keep at it, fish with other (better) fishermen (or guides), and invest in the Trout Support DVDs.

Yeah , that's why it's called fishing and not catching . If you have some water movement ( which you always need ) also try fishing the outfall side of Danas geotube gaps and guts , points .
