Hey gang,
Simply wanted to say thanks to all of you who helped us again raise money for the kids at the Shriners. I am sending in $5,662.46 this year. This is my 6th year and we are closing in on $50,000 total raised which I think is fantastic.
I also would like to get your input. I have tried a few things and some have worked more than others. I would like to know what you think I could add or do different in order to obviously make more money for the kids as well as increase the amount of fun had by all of us at the weigh in.
If you remember we have sold BBQ, had multiple bands, you name it. I am open to suggestions and thanks in advance for all you share with me.
Finally, I want to give a HUGE thanks to all of you who made my "helpers" feel special. In speaking with Connie (mom) afterwards, she was in tears. As a result of their injuries, those kids (especially the older one) wrestle with feeling like they fit in. They had many of you approach them and pat them on the back, tell them "good job", and such. They both were full of smiles and pride and I think that is something that surgeries just cannot provide...only your words could do that. So thanks a million as I really think you made a difference in their lives Saturday.
