  • A Ghost Camp is Gone celebration invite

Well y'all, with this done it's time for a weekend of enjoyment. Every person who helped on the Ghost Camp in any fashion is invited to come out this coming weekend at any time for some low key enjoyment. Preliminary weather reports say it will be tolerable, but not necessarily delightful. There will be absolutely zero work attempted or allowed. First 3 cases of brew are on me. I'll also put a rack of ribs and a boil on the menu, but we'll call it pot luck if you want to bring anything for the grill or the pot. I plan on arriving at the dock at 11am and I'll stay out 'til 2pm on Sunday.

Everyone is welcome to spend the night if they wish. We can comfortably sleep 4 people, but we can stretch if necessary. We have 2 beds, one mattress, 2 air mattresses, and 2 cots. Beds will fill up in order of your reservation request. Again, no work allowed. Just fun, fishin', and front porch sittin'. We'll begin work again the following weekend, and at this point I won't even talk about what we'll do. If possible, I'd love for someone to be able to pick up 007 in Pasadena early Sunday morning and bring him down. More than anyone else he should be there.

Remember if you're boatless, it's no problem for me to pick you up at the dock. - Sandy

I didn't do that much but I did enjoy helping out . Maybe I could help out with the inside work some too, if it isn't too crowded. I won't know until Thursday if we work on Saturday but I'll let you know as soon as I can. If I come I'll bring something for the pot...

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Robalo, you did bring us the chain saw that day. So you're in. Nokatchin', if you can bring 007, that's your ticket in. SCHU, don't underestimate what you did. We got it done EXACTLY under the wire. Without your help that day we wouldn't have made the deadline.

Hey Sandy, it doesn't look real good for me , maybe until after rodeo cookoff....it's a lot of work feeding and drinking 1500 people in 3 days. I would like to go ahead and start rounding up material to do some interior work, maybe you could get an estimate of exterior wall and ceiling square footage so I could start looking for some deals on the polystyrene insulation. I might get out before March but it isn't looking real good.

BTW, I got your voicemail about the furniture and it looks like the weekend of the 19th would be best! I just need to get it out of the mag house by that weekend.

You and Stikr going to be able to make it Primer?

EX21, I have the CCCF chili cookoff that Saturday, then I was headed to the camp directly as soon as that's over. I could come up that Friday afternoon/evening. Alternately, TMO should be contacting you tomorrow. His business partner lives up there and he could bring them to TMO's warehouse for storage until we get the interior done. One way or the other we'll get 'er done.
