Boat ramp question, public or private

I launch most the time at San Luis pass boat ramp, I was wanting to try a deferent area, is the boat ramp in bay harbor public or private? I have not drove down there, just was looking from Google. If there is a free to public close To that area would someone share. Thanks in advance. Kenneth

I'm not familiar with any in Bay Harbor. The old Christmas Bay Ramp at Ernies is free.

The county park ramp at the old KOA may be free if you can get out of the cove.

For me in the winter, since I'm not local, the fee at Waterman's ($10) is fine and it puts me in the middle of the south shoreline with good access to everywhere.

Thanks troutsupport, oh by the way enjoyed your videos, well worth the money. The boat ramp I'm talking about is off of tidewater drive.

Don't know about bay harbor but most neighborhoods have to have public boat ramps and also have private ones. They usually don't take good care of the public ones to discourage outsiders from using them or being in their neighborhood. I would go around ask and check to see which are free to the public. A word of warning, most public access in neighborhoods don't have overnight parking so you can only fish them during the day also to discourage people from using them.

Well went and checked it with my own eyes, chains across ramp, sign said for residents only. Oh well I will just get a work out in my kayak.
