  • Anybody for a fishing trip Wed/Thurs to Blockade Runners?

If you've got a strong back and wouldn't mind lending a hand moving a generator, I could use 2 guys at the SLP boat ramp on Wednesday afternoon. Fishing under the lights that night at my dock, a Louisiana boy cooked supper, and a comfy bunk are what's in it for you. The sucker weighs 300 lbs. There will be 4 of us if I get 2 guys. We just need to get it from a truck into the boat, which is the easy part. Then we need to get it from the boat onto my dock once we get to the camp. Then we need to get it up 7 steps and drag it around to the back of the cabin. Ideally when we leave, we'll get the old one out, which doesn't weigh as much. Breakfast will be on me as well, but no eggs. If you're interested, shoot me a PM. - Sandy

Not if we've got to follow all the rules.

Man if I could manage to convince my fiance to let me go I would be down to help.

She can come too. The place is girl approved. It's a fishing camp on the Mud Island side of Titlum-Tatlum Bayou. 5-10 minute boat ride from the SLP boat ramp at SLP County Park. Of course I'll be providing the boat.

I'll be happy to help with the transport but not sure I can stay over. Ride back to the ramp?

Well, we've got one in for sure with sabalo7. Explorer21 offered to help in the late afternoon on his way home from work, so that might do it. Wouldn't mind getting more bodies though, if anyone else is interested, do say so. Jambalaya is supper for Wed. night.

Sabalo7 had an emergency and had to back out. If anyone wants to help, we're launching this venture at 5:30 at SLP.

The deed is done! Met a couple of guys at the ramp who lent a hand in exchange for their limit of trout tonight off my dock. They are 1/2 way there.

It's been far too long. I think I still have your jacket here.
