  • Fishing this morning?

Anyone braving the elements and going fishing this morning? I'm shootin' for 10:00ish to go catch the outgoing tide.

Breakfast is almost ready, and omelet, toast, bacon, juice

Damn, dude. after yesterday I may not fish for a week!! JK, should be much better today than yesterday. Little tip, probably 90% of the teams that fished were up on the top end. There probably isn't much water in West, but the few spots that have shell and 6 foot on normal tides could produce a wall hanger today. Our fish bit perfectly yesterday on the moon set and then on the directly under. Since you already missed the set, I would go plant my feet an hour or two before the directly under that comes early this afternoon. Good Luck!!! And dress warm!

Let us know if there was much of an outgoing tide. Seems like it would be cancelled out with the bay filling back up.

Well it was not my day or maybe I was just not in the right spot(s). I waded seven hours didn't catch chit but do have frozen toes! I'm getting too old for this grinding business.....

Funny thing happened. I waded back to my boat at the first stop to pee, and when I turned around to get back in the water, a small Whaler with two guys had moved in where I was fishing!

Hey, my prostate's the size of a small planet! Wait until your 60!
I forgot the details. The water temp. was 46-47 degrees. The tide was out maybe a foot low, and the water was super clear. I really didn't see any bait, maybe a flick or two and the tide was coming in late this afternoon. Full moon has always been hard for me. I know, I know the charts say it's great. Just never been the case in my travels...

Same here Kenny. I usually makes for some hard fishing. I know people that like it, I'm not one of them.
Made a last minute trip. Only fished for a couple hours due to other plans this evening, thank God since my toes were freezing, lol. Only found one lone mullet, and that was enough. 3 good trout, on 51m's, about waist deep over shell clumps and mud, the fun stuff. Only held them against my rod so no exacts, best was about an inch, inch and a half over my 25" mark. The other two looked about 22-23. It happened in a 30 minute period, then slowed, then I was cold and said no mas.
