  • Friday the 13th quick trip

We took the yaks out looking for the big bite. We paddled out under pretty light NE winds. Got to our spot anchored the yaks and got off and waded. Throwing tops nothing. Noticed bait going nuts along the shoreline so paddled up and anchored up and got out. Started with the top got a couple blow ups and switched to a broke back and second cast a 22" slammed it. Saw a bunch of small mullet and shad jut get blown out of the water so switched to a mirrodine. Lost 3 solid trout coming out the water and spitting the hook. The it just stopped. We caught half of the major feed and the wind switched and picked up pretty good. 9:30 headed back to the truck. Pulled something in my shoulder and called it a day.

    Nice report.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Nice report, fished same day 11:00- 4:00 (spontaneous trip), very slow day, 2 flounder and a gaftop on a tail in 2' of water is all we managed. Was wondering what the early morning bite was like. Thanks for the report.

Great to hear. That's one heck of a trout! Bite was slow all weekend for me as well. Friday was the best day. Managed to get two specs for the skillet. Caught a few more sand trout and a ladyfish. Saturday only produced one more spec (18") but that was it.

Thanks for the report and a good looking fish. Hope it's nothing too serious that a good icing down and bengay won't fix for your shoulder.
