I don't get down to the island as much as I want. But I am coming down thus weekend weather permitting. I normally go just east of slp on the bay. I was wondering g if anyone could help me get on some fish . Also is the water warm enough for the trout to be in the surf yet ? Thanks Im advance !!

My advice is to keep checking this forum and learn from the post where people are fishing. I can almost guarantee no one on this site will give you any of their spots. Your SLP spot is good the fish have started to show up over there over the past few weeks. I limited on trout last thurs. right around the area. Keep an open dialog on the forum and these guys will help you out. I received the trout support DVD a couple of years ago and they have really stepped my game up. Tobin is a really good guy and will help you with your application of the knowledge in the videos. Keep at it those fish are out there. I havent been able to find any trout in the surf yet.

Havent seen much from the surf yet but I't just about time. If it's flat get in it. Otherwise the spot you mentioned is a good one throw topwaters early and see how it goes.

when i first started fishing down here i spent every day down at the pass wading every gut and bar there was pre Ike; so you're in a good spot.

Go to the news section here and read "Topwater Bible" and "Fishing West Bay" by Aqua Pimp. Those articles should've been in a Field and Stream Magazine.
