  • west galveston kettle house question

does anybody know the history of the kettle house on the west end? there's little info on it online and it's made several web sites for unusual home architecture. it was the top of a silo that was inverted and roofed. the roof appears new so it's maintained. i was wondering if anybody knew the history of it? i'd love to see interior pics.
for those not sure of what i'm referring to, it's the gray, metal, sponge bob looking building on the north side of the beach road going towards west beach that make you think wtf??.

Any pictures of the kettle house, I am not sure what you are talking about? As for the acorn house, I see it every day!

Some years back there was a flurry of activity at the kettle. It looked like a family group that replaced the roof, door and cut holes and installed windows. Then they left and never have come back as far as I know.
I've always wanted to weld a big pipe handle on it and make it a coffee cup!

That's a neat looking place. I remember the first time I drove that road back in '05 and saw it. I called it the kettle house too. I've never seen anyone there.

It's a cleverly disguised flying saucer. Dispite all the depictions of aliens being tall and skinny, they're actually short and fat.
