First timer fishing this weekend. looking for help.

I'm thinking about heading down to the area this weekend. It will be my first trip to the area and wanted to join others. I'm coming from Sheppard air Base in Wichita falls. I'll be down friday night or early saturday morning. I was going to be renting a Kayak (hobie revolution) unless someone had a spot on their boat. i'l pay for gas, bait, etc.
Since I don't know the area, I wouldn't mind joining other kayakers or waders. Or if someone would let me know some areas to launch a kayak.

If you are on Facebook, check out the TexasKayakFisherman group. Tons of guys arranging fishing trips and meet-ups there. There is also a regular website by the same name, but it doesn't have the number of comments and contributions that the Facebook site does.

Welcome !! That's a good site . I went through sheppard back in the day .
Wind direction and tide will be a big factor . Your best bet is to tag along with someone . I hope that works out for you .
