  • Epic 2/21 and 2/22 morning fishing

Fished 2/21 a.m. was on the water by 6:15 and wading by 6:25 , 3rd cast with one knocker hooked up and every cast after that for about 1.5 hours was getting blow ups and catching trout no big ones just solid 17-19"s but it was a blast, fishing 2.5 ft of water over shell and deeper guts all on top waters.
2/22 was joined by a good buddy of mine and same deal caught em till 930 and then went to go chase redfish, pulled up on this shoreline and I was wading throwing a popping cork, 3rd cast catch a 4lb trout, 2 casts later another one about the same size, so we switched to a top water and right off the bat my buddy hooks a toad, 28.5" and about 8.25 lbs on boga, we caught and released 11 trout over 24" most going 25-26" all on tops, my buddy kept the 28 to get mounted.Missed a few fish on the same shoreline that were in the upper 20's range for sure, all in all a great day on the water was home by 12:30 all fish caught in west bay.
