  • Chocolate wed and thurs.

Headed out to chocolate around 1:30 pm on wed, lots of clearish water but the tide was moving good, fish were a little bit sluggish at first but about 4:30 they turned on, ended up with 19 trout, 5 reds and 3 flounder, all fish caught on tails fished semi-slow keeping it a foot or so off the bottom over scattered shell/mud mix with mullet in the area.

Thursday basically the same thing, except the water was a little more clear but the tide was still incoming good, same thing as day before mud/shell mix 3-5ft of water with mullet in the area.....find bait find fish. 17 trout,2 reds and a flounder.

What kinda boat do you run, that plays a big factor when fishing chocolate, lots of reefs and a few man made obstructions.

.............Garrent gave you some great suggestions in his report; fish the afternoon incoming tide, 3-5' of water over mud/shell and the big one, find the bait.
