Got to the water and decided I would rather be on the jetski so I ran back to he house and was still on the water at 7:30. Fished in water 3-4' with shell and mud and had a bump on my first cast then a solid hit on my 4th cast on a corky fat boy. There was no wind so I couldn't drift. I made a move a little farther up on the flat with no luck so I went back to where I started. Caught two keepers and two throwbacks. Had a few missed hits and one actually knocked my corky out of the water so I made the switch to topwater and only had one blowup but it was a decent one. Then the front came through and shut them down. I stayed there longer than I should have. Made my next move out to the flats and fished some shell next to a channel picked up two more keepers and a couple more throwbacks right at 15" on assassins. Off the water at 11:30. 4 keepers 16"-19". Also met Don Sisco at the ramp.

Does anyone know what these are? There were some birds working so I cast under them a few times with no bites so I moved closer to see what was up and these were everywhere...

Looks kinda like a clam or sand worm hatch. Not positive on the type. Trout and Redfish both will load up on them.

There were no fish there feeding on them...only birds. It was strange.

Trout worms. Gotta be some nice specs close by.
