Well looks like we got the call from a friend of mine that is the Chief Cook for the Go Texan Gregg Co. chapter and he wants us to bring the smoker to The Houston Rodeo Championship BBQ Cookoff in a few weeks. I guess we are gonna get our taste of a huge competition. Not really the way I wanted to start off doing comp's but I can't pass this opportunity up. Wish me luck!!

Good luck and let us know how you come out.

That's one fine looking pit you have there. If your not already you need to get on http://texasbbqforum.com so you can show off that beast.

Thanks everyone, I am pretty excited about it. Looks like our first LSBS cook off is March in Center, Tx. We are shooting for all 3 categories, gonna be a learning experience to see how comps work. I know our Q should be worthy, let's just hope the judges think so.

Oh , I thought you started puffing Camels or something more illegal . That's a relief . Anyway , that monster looks like the sinter used at the G.E. Plant for hardening carbide compact drill bits I worked at one summer . That or something in a crematorium . It's a brute . I ' ll volunteer as a taste tester as you learn the nuances of smoking with that brute .

It's missing the jet engine. That will cook the briskest faster. That's one fancy cooker. Very nice. Congrats on the pit. Lord Bless.
