  • West Bay 12-30

Snuck out solo for a quick evening run...went west out of Jamaica Beach and caught 10 trout and 1 flounder. Most of the trout were 15-16" with one right at 20". The flounder was 16". Plum and chartreuse assassin on a 1/8 oz jig. I only fished an hour or so.

About the 6th keeper I started thinking I should put a few in the box. Came home with 3 keepers.

The ride back against the wind was a bit sporty.

Great job. I usually go out in this cruddy weather but been a bit lazy. I'm hitting new years day wind, rain, sleet or snow.

                      Pimp,
You are spot on! I was going to text you and let you know they are there. Then I figured you probably already knew that.

Happy New Year! I'll be booking another trip soon!

Ha Ha JT the last time you were in that spot it was blowing 40 mph lol.
Yeah those fish been there a while. Just needed a good front to stack em up. This last front did that.

Had you been able to get that wind behind you that day, you could've casted a top water and spooled your reel!

Good job on that grind of an hour catching.
