  • Fishing this Week

My office is closed this week. I plan on spending a good bit of my time off fishing. With the front passing through today, conditions will be difficult. Hard west winds forecast tomorrow then north for the rest of the week and into the weekend. My plan is to try to find some protected shorelines near deep water and see how it goes. I may wander away from my usual haunts. I have been in a pattern of fishing Jones and Greens all year and need to get out amongst 'em.

I'm going to the TTU v LSU game Tuesday night. That should be fun. Hope you all enjoy a Happy New Year.

PS: I drove back from the Panhandle yesterday, right through Dallas during that twister. Thankfully, I was on the other side of town. Unbelievable wind and rain.

Wind has been bad since Friday. Today while we were at krogers on the seawall, i bet it was blowing atleast 30 out the south and the temp just dropped to 56. We really didnt get to much rain on the west side.

Next couple of days might be a great shot a a big flounder in the channel with all the water finally dumping out.

I got a late start today. Sitting at the ramp with the boat still on the trailer. Wind blowing about 20 from the West and my gumption is failing me.

That's gonna be a good game. I'm taking the 7 points and Tech. Give Kliff a month to put in a game plan coupled with the fact I don't think LSU is going to show up.

Yes I think it is going to be a good game. My wife is an LSU Tiger but I hope TTU whips LSU so they will fire Les Miles. LSU is in decline and has been for the past couple of years. Lets just say Les is not the brightest crayon in the box.

Have to agree. I usually will go out in the worst of conditions but this wind is a day killer. The coach sounds great but unfortunately im at the office all this week. Getting out this weekend though. Be careful out there.

Boy has it. I bet two foot or better was pushed out today. Almost looks like winter time in westbay again.

Yip, we needed this front. I think we will finally be in a wintertime pattern. Water temp last Saturday the 26th was 74 degrees in some places. Almost January and water temps in the 70's. Thats crazy. Will probably finally pullout the Corkys this week. Last week they were still destroying super spooks.
