So i thought i would give them a try. Was going to buy two but decided on one untill i figure out if i liked them. Well im glad i didnt. First trip out of the box and the piece has zero drag. Im so glad i figured it out before i lost a good fiah due to it. Have any of yall had any similar problems? Its going back but im kinda gun shy about them now. For their top end reel im not impressed. Maybe just a bad apple?

Ill trade you a bb1 with no drag for a curado!!! So yesterday night i took it off the rod and was going to take it back when i decided to give it one more tug and it has drag again. I dont understand. Star hasnt been moved from strong man tight. Like i said before when i spooled it it had drag. Its like when i take it on the boat it has no drag. Im going to take it along tomorrow and see if it does it again. Never seen anything like this before. Reel has never been apart or caught a fish. Has about three cast on it. Im under the impression that as long as the star applies pressure on the drag washer it will keep tension on spool to make drag. So it should be full drag if star is tighten down all the way.Originally posted by trophytroutman View PostI got the bb1 inshore and 2 tournament lites and love them. I have also put my curados and chronarch a on the shelf as back ups. Probably won't use them since I'll buy more lews.

Sounds like something a fishing buddy would do. I have not had any trouble with mine at all...
Either take it back to the store and get a replacement or send it back to Lews. Lew's is continually making advancements and they want to know about it. I put away all my other brands and all I'm throwing is Lews BB1 Pro and Tournament Pro.
