  • Soule strikes again!!!!

I bought the trip with Steve Soule from the Shriners auction. We take my boat (22' Pathfinder) and two of my buddies of 50+ years. Steve says "you're getting to much water in your bilge area (actually he said this damn thing is sinking). I said yeah it takes on some water just turn on the bilge pump. Then he looks at my prop--- you need to meet Louis Baumann!!!
AMAZING WHAT A LITTLE WORK WILL DO🤓
Much thanks to Gulf Coast Composites (cracked hoses, replaced ball valve, caulked transducer) then over to Baumann and 48 hrs. later with 21" cupped prop -------🤑🤑🤑- all of a sudden I've got a boat that will come out of the hole in less water than you can shake a stick at. Just goes to show that us potlickers need someone to take care of us.

    Hey,Soule---wanna go fishin?!?!?

A lot of clients ask us all the time if we could go in their boats. They like to be able to mark stuff on their GPS and some wants us to show them how to use their boats. Apparently this turned out good. Saved the possible sinking of a boat.

Most of the time all you have to do is just bring the cold beer in exchange for the fee! Lol

Some guides will, some guides won't. It's one of those things you need to discuss with the particular guide before hand.

In situations where someone buys a trip that is auctioned for example: Something like a 1/2 trip for 1 or 2 people sight fishing. Then person who buys the trip at auction talks to the guide and changes it to 3 or more people on their boat to learn some things. I highly doubt there would be any sort of discount on a donated trip for something like that.

Just so everyone will know ---- I asked Steve before I placed my bid if we could take my boat so I might take one more of my friends (Steve only carries two people in his shallow water boat) he very graciously said yes, if I won the bid he would do that. When a captain gives up his fee for a cause like the Shriners hospital I don't mind paying for the gas and furnishing the beverages. We had a tough day fishing, but had a good time, and as always when you are with Steve you can learn a lot. He did make some good suggestions about my boat.
