Yeah, beautiful for porch sitting, but not so much fun running across open water. I went this morning and ran across West bay and back. Luckily I still have most of my teeth. The NE wind has the standing high tide over the bulkheads.

West Bay has had a lot of wind. It really kicked-up Friday at noon white capping….. Watch the Texans…and BBQ.

It was gorgeous in the bayou and in cold pass. Everything well protected. I played with my pet oysters all day yesterday and didn't fish at all.

Its not about catching its about comfort. The fish are there but with a two year old it just doesnt pay. I ran across west today alone and im pretty sure the boat count was low.

I didn't realize a two year old was involved. There are other safer options than west bay, like the old river in Freeport or the diversionary canal in Hitchcock, but I've heard there's no fish there, they all moved to Chocolate.

Yeah i cant leave the house without him waking up runinng to door. I have a few place that are protected but getting to them was really rough. I haven't trailered my boat in over a year. It stays on offatts bayou on the water. To tell you the truth i dont even know if the bearings will spin..lol
