Sunday west bound

Hit west with the family and had an ok day despite another sponge bob rod lost. Little guy just cant hang on when those big fish pull back. I was going to make him one but i just dont think its time yet. Anyways, back to fishing. Caught them up in 2ft to 8ft of water on shell mix. The shollower fish came off the reefs. Trout from 18 to 22 and had one that was a soild 25 pull off at the net. Slot reds were in the mix as well. They were all lower slot 21 to 23. And of course two bonus flatties..all and all 12 trout,3 reds, and 2 flounder. Pumpkin chartreuse and red and whit plastics. No top water action despite all the fleeing bait and blow ups. Water was 80 to 79 degrees from Jamaica east to causeway

All in all a really good day ... Except loosing a Sponge Bob rod/reel . I hate that when it happens . Thanks for a quality informative fishing report .
