Went out this morning and couldn't find bait moving anywhere. Ended up doing more driving than fishing.

Hey Jonathan-I read one of your articles-pretty dang cool!!

Now for my typical smart azz answer-the bait is in waist deep water as evidenced by the poor kid that was swimming and got surrounded by a school of mullet and shark bit. I think he was down by 39th and Seawall???
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. As usual I'm fumbling trying to grasp what's going on here .
The picture is the seawall with light glare then a comment about not finding bait . So , explain the obvious .

Henry, It's a link to one of the seawall cams which shows flat surf. I'll chime in by saying I haven't seen much bait out there lately. I don't know where the fish have gone, but they don't appear to be in the surf.

The trout are back in the bay waiting on the shrimp to come out of the marsh. Too late for the surf unless you're after an occasional bull red or sharks and big rays. Enjoy!

I think he's saying really about the selfie that's going on and the other group picture not the quality of the water, but I have been wrong a time or two

Since I live in Austin I watch the Galveston webcams quite frequently wishing I was there mostly. I particularly like watching the Surf Cam on top of the Commodore hotel on 39th which shows the end of the rock pier well. I saw one guy limit out in an hour on trout using what looked like finger mullet under a cork a few weeks back. I haven't seen anyone doing well recently even though the surf has been looking excellent. Sure wish there was a Seawolf Park pier cam and a 61st pier cam.
