  • Headin to Bolivar!!

Hey friends! I'm looking to get a little advice or some suggestions on where to do a little wade and kayak fishing in Bolivar, thought I would pull some info from some of the finest fishing minds in the land !!!

My family just got a bay house down in Bolivar, we're looking to start scouting the new area. We have been fishing west bay forever, usually sticking up near the Jone bay area and love pulling in reds and flatties !! other than rollover , what are some good areas to launch for wade or kayak fishing. Any help is appreciated!!!!!!

Stingaree is another good place to launch a kayak. Cross the ICW and fish the cut a bit, then work the shoreline to the W. or back towards Yate's Bayou and the marsh to the E.

I also hear the cuts to the small marshes off the ICW can have good reds. Also a good spot if the wind is cranking, nice and protected.

You can also launch on Yacht Basin Road and fish the area behind Roll Over Pass.
