    Fishing This wee.

    Fished the surf this week and took my girlfriend out in chocolate and put her on a few reds, surf was flat this week but a little off color fish seemed to bite better between 7-8:30 am, caught a few on tops, some on croaker, and a few a yozuri jerk shrimp. My girlfriend and I caught the reds on a Cajun thunder rigged with gulp shrimp, caught 8 or 9 reds in the first drift we made, 4 keepers and one keeper trout, decided that was good enough since we got out there at 3 and it was cookin so we were back at the ramp loaded up by 4:15 really enjoyed watching her wear the reds out she caught her limit I was proud also fished west bay on Wednesday and caught a limit early just nothing big 15.5-18" good eating though!!!

    just a note there is 11 trout in the pic with the fish on the deck of the boat one of them was when I went the day before with my gf I had them iced down all night and just threw him up there for the pic.

          Awesome work out there and thanks for including the yozuri, I always like to hear about lures out of the norm being utilized!

            I've killed em in the surf with that yozuri shrimp and under birds,you can cast them far but there proud of them though 14$ sucks when a mackerel cuts you off

                  Very nice report Garrett. Glad you got the girl friend out and put her on some nice fish.
                  And yes it's super hot once we get past noon. Nice trout also.
                  18" and under are my favorite size trout for eating. They just taste better to me.

                    You are 100% correct on the taste of smaller trout, if I plan on eating them I like the smaller ones

                              A good week of fishing with a pretty girl is hard to beat . Thanks for sharing . Nothing wanted my Yozuri pink shrimp in the surf this weekend .
