Thanks guys. Here's why I am asking. For the last 5 months I've been working 6 days a week. Finally I get the weekend off.
I am wanting to try to go gigging. I know the SW wind probably has turned the water to less than ideal.
To make things worse, I only have one good eye due to a detached retina in one eye and now I have a bad floater in my
good eye and my vision is the worst it has ever been. If the water is too sandy I don't want to waste a trip.

I walked in on the south shoreline Wednesday night about 1800. Tide was WAY out and water sucked. It was clear over grass, but over sand <6 inches visibility. Wind was pumping 15-20 w/sw. Caught a 21 inch red and 3 slimers on a one knocker...it was tough. I think the wind may be a little lighter over the weekend...I can't fish till Sunday/Mon so hoping it lets off and gets more se...good luck.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Not going tonight. My fishing buddy just got called and he has to cover and night shift because
                      a supervisor called in sick.
Not going to try a solo trip and the wind forecast is 10-15 with 20 gust.
As far as my eye I have 2 of the best eye surgeons in the state.
One did the retina surgery and the other replaced my lens with an artificial in my bad eye. If It wasn't for
them my right eye would be blind.
I've already seen my retina doctor. He wants to wait a while to give the floater some time.
Its a big one and if necessary he can remove it.

I was asked through a PM the names of my 2 surgeons.

                        The Retina surgeon

The surgeon that replaced my lens
Houstonian Mark Mayo has been doing cataract surgery for over a decade and ranks as one of the nation's top 10 cataract surgeons. Call today for LASIK information.
