  • Fishing the West End, HELP!

Beginning this Sunday, I will be staying in a beach house on the far west end for a week. None of the peeps I'm with fish. I have no idea where or how to fish the west end. If the water looks like it does on the beachfront, going to have to find an alternative. I was really looking forward to throwing tops in the surf. I refuse to fish the Pass by myself. I do not want to be the next guy with an obituary in the paper for being stupid! I have never fished the freeport jetty either, anyone know if the trout are active down there? Also, if anyone can give me an idea where I can walk in (no mud please) and maybe catch a few, I would appreciate it. Boaters, I am willing to help with gas and snacks/lunch if invited aboard! Thanks!!!

I think I have heard of some decent reports from the Freeport Jetties, but nothing recent. they should be there as long as the wind isn't up. Should lay any day now... of course who really knows. Great post and way to be smart about it Moe.
