Okay, so I just got back form a trip to Sarasota, FL and there they are considering changing the rule to allow the harvest of both claws.
The reason is that, if you leave the crab with one claw it will still feel like it can defend itself and mate (sometime a fight? Im not a crab or biologist so I don't know). They found taking both claws will cause the crab to hide in the sand until the claws grow back.
Anyone else heard this?
