So I was the lucky recipient of Harvey's generous offer. I just got back and had a great time. The fishing was great, it was just the catching that was tough Harvey gave me some great tips on how to work my plastics and just fishing in general. I learned a lot and now just need to go out and practice. Thanks again H. Maier for taking the time to help me and being such a gracious host.

My pleasure, Minh! Capt. Paul told me at the cleaning table we needed to have been there an hour earlier. Thus those three fish I missed early. You still got something to stink the grease! Congrats on the + 20" flounder on that slow worked lil jon. You were more than gracious and respectful and I enjoyed too.

How did I know you would teach him how to catch flounder?! HAR! Me and Henry only managed (keepers) 2 trout, 1 red yesterday but released drum, croakers and undersized reds. Fishing is slow near the shorelines lately, plus the fact that we didn't get in the water till after 4 PM and had to fight 15+ MPH wind didn't help conditions much.
I made the same offer a couple years back and eFish took me up on it and we have been close friends since......good intentions often pay awesome dividends.

I love it when a plan coms together and it looks like this on surely did! Glad you caught some fish, Minh, and got some invaluable advice, too! Good on you, Harvey for offering to school a "rookie". Seems like we could do with a lot more of this, but it seems with the competitive world we live in some things have gone out the window...

Sir, if this question is for me, I primarily fish mid Galveston and East Galveston bay. I don't know if I could find the sea isle boat ramp. Lol. My advice would be for you to contact Capt. Greg or Capt. J.T. My little whaler only allows for two, and one of those has to be me. Now, if you want to try my water, we might could make that happen. Thanks for your consideration.
