Washing Machine Recycle/Disposal

Had to buy a new washing machine for the bay house... the pump quit working on the old one. Does anyone know where I can dispose or recycle the old one? I'm in Jamaica Beach.

There used to be a metal scrap place right by the home depot in Galveston. Not sure if it's still there - been quite a few years since I went there or paid any attention. Most times you can set that stuff out on the curb and it'll be gone in a matter of hours. The metal scrap guys are forever combing the neighborhoods for people throwing away stuff like that.

He's right on both counts. The scrap place is still there and growing.

There used to be an old washing machine marking a drivable path to the back of Drum Bay.... maybe you can mark a new "Maytag"
