it will affect far west in west matty bay. I don't fish over there so don't know what it does to fishing.

Makes the bay better if it's just rain water. That's part of what makes the best bays, good in Texas, and around the gulf coast is the huge fresh water inflows from the rivers. Most of the water is diverted to the Gulf and West MB. The flow that gets to EMB is very helpful for winter fishing. without it, the salinity would be too high and the fish would stay up in the rivers and bayous. Same thing happens here in West GB, and ruined the fishing in Rockport this summer. When the salinties are right the bays are much better for trout, redfish and flounder.

Give it a few days after that water hits the EMB area and hang on, big influx of prey and predators!!!!!!!!!! I think that's enough exclamations to let you know that I'm serious. My recollection is that one of the best weeks I ever had there for numbers was immediately following Tropical Storm Frances in 98 or 99. Lots of trout and reds, and some really good ones too.
