Wife had surgery to replace knee she was allergic (nickel) to after having it since 2011. That was last week in April. Started PT onnreplaced knee last Monday. Tuesday she was getting out of the expedition, stepped down while stretching out her leg and said she felt a "pop" in her leg above the knee. I wrapped it with ace bandage and she went to PT Wedesday. Friday 5-22 we were out all day and she was getting put of the car agin, same scenario, only this time the incision came unpinned and started bleeding badly. She was on the ground bleeding and I couldn't pick her up for hurting the knee so I had to call 911 to help. Went to Mthodist downtown and actually waited in the hallway for several hours to be put into a room! So they went in and washed the incision out, saw the implant, and put antibiotics pellets in the woun. When they were doing this, they found that a quad tendon had torn so they had to make extra cut to fispx that..Pain meds aplenty so that she can tolerate it.
We are still in the Hospial and will be there until Monday or Tuesay depending on how she progresses. Will be taking care f her for as long as it takes to get back on her feet. Just got over this last operation and was hoping to get out, but it will be awhile now for sure. I'll still be lurking, just not catching or posting. Y'all have fun and save some for me now, yaheah?
