  • S.L.P. Report 4/26/15

Me and Happyshaker left the boat ramp right at 6:30 and headed for Christmas bay and fished some mud and shell with no luck. Then headed to cold pass and caught a few specks but the bite shut off early when a few showers and the wind arrived. We tried various places from bird island to Hall's lake but it seemed that the fish didn't want to cooperate. We found good looking water, pods of bait, but no fish worth keeping. When we finally decided that we had enough and we headed to the ramp to go home. While at the boat ramp, I spotted a blockade runners sticker and had the pleasure of meeting fellow west end angler Coachlaw. We shot the bull while loading the boats and is a hell of a guy and glad to meet him. Sorry no picks of the trout, they weren't my fish.
    Thanks for reading, tight lines.

I'm sure meeting Coachlaw made that an excellent trip.

      Nice report-Sandy's a great guy.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Thanks guys, we hit a school of them right at the mouth of Churchill bayou and cold pass were my buddy put put a couple specks in the boat. I caught a few dinks but that didn't last long and the John boat that ripped by ten feet from us didn't help. The specks were hitting live shrimp under a popping cork. Caught some huge gafftops feeding on pods of bait fish around bird island on gulps.
