  • Report 4/19

We launched out of Thompson's bait camp by 6:30 am and tried fishing by the bird reserve, water very dirty and fresh. So we hit Dow reef to how it was, dirty and not even a look or bump. Decided to head towards Smith point and hit the shell there but water seemed to be churned up even more. Hanna reef wasn't want any better. Hit some well heads were there was a color change in the water but couldn't get them to take any live bait, topwater, or plastic jig.
By this time we saw the storm brewing on the horizon and left the water around 4pm. Tough day for fishing but a beautiful day to do it. Here is a pic of my little girl driving Happyshakers new boat she had a blast. Thanks for reading, tight lines.

Thanks guys, I sure hope we get a week or two break from the rain so the water gets back to normal.

Great report and pic. Sorry couldn't catch any fish, but that's fishing. Happens to everybody. Great pic with the daughter driving. I taught my nephew how to drive the boat. He now has his own and loving it. They will always remember when dad taught them. Lord Bless.

Sounds like one of my trips . I appreciate a report from guys that have a less than stellar outing . It still gives us information . One is not as likely to give a report if they don't catch fish . Thanks for the report ! Ya still had a good time .

Thanks Plugger, I just don't see a good day of fishing with a bad day of catching get in the way of a good fishing report.
