  • Hammered Here!

Dang, we just had a 20 minute hail storm here in JB., but the lights didn't go off. Golfball sized hail up front here, apparently not as bad back on the bay. Roof leaking in two rooms. 3,615 lightening strikes here according to the TV. Tomatoes are prolly toast!

Sorry to hear you got pummeled. Don't forget to call you insurance. You may get a new roof like it did years back. Good luck!

We got that same cell here in Angleton right before you did Kenny. I was watching it as it clipped the top of Mud Island and headed your way. Then my lights went out. Somehow we kept the letricity through the hail storm. I have a tin roof on my carport and it was a helluva racket. My north side windows were getting WHACKED! I sat on the floor in my hallway just waiting for them to break. My neighbor lost 2 windows on his house and his windshield is toast. My boat is FULL of branches and leaves. Neighborhood is a mess.

Not as bad as thought it would be. Truck looks ok, but tomato plants took a beating; busted to heck as are other flowers and plants. A couple of items that were downstairs are just GONE! I'll look at the roof later today. I heard Sea Isle had it worse, with blown-out windows.

A house on Bermuda Way lost a 20 x 25 ft section of his roof. It was ripped off an landed in his front yard. They were out there last night putting a tarp over the open area.

3 Power poles on Bob Smith near the city park are at 30- 45 degree angle. Poor people that had all their garage sale stuff out for the city wide sale today, had it all blown away or soaked.
