Saw the sign today same race as every year. Don't expect to get anywhere during these hours.

Are you sure about the date? That's a Monday.

That would make more sense. The OGSR is the Saturday, 25th.

You're right! I meant to put the 25th. As Homer Simpson would say, "DOH!" It's a bike race Henry. They come from Galveston and cross the SLP bridge, then turn around on the Brazoria side. I'll change the date on the title, but leave the evidence of my foul up.

I saw the sign again tonight, but I was headed the other way and it was in my rearview mirror. It looked like it said the 26th. So, is it Saturday or Sunday? If anyone can confirm, we might keep folks from a headache.

Thanks Willie, I'd hate to take 2004 to get to Surfside for the reunion.

Yep, Thanks for the confirmation Willie!

I barely missed having to go all the way around through Galveston on Thursday night due to a heavy haul from Surfside inland. I was there at 8:55 and they had the road closed off. They weren't supposed to start 'til 9, but I had no idea it was going on until I saw the sign at the levee. I had to talk my way past them.
