  • my pipes froze!!

i had to take a hair dryer and warm up the main shut off valve. it released the plug and you could hear the ice going up the pipe. i think i got lucky, no leaks that i can see. i've added about 3 more layers of wrapping to try to prevent it from happening tonite. should i leave water running downstairs?

I would leave it running up stairs too on a north wall or wall with the least heat/insulation in it.

also open the cabinet doors under the sinks. It will help get a little more heat to those pipes.

          Hair dryer trick

I had to use a hair dryer this morning also (I know what you are thinking, why the heck does Mike have a hair dryer?).

Glad I drained my pipes last weekend before I left. Hopefully I got it all. I'm sure the plumbers are busy on the West End today. Good luck tonight.

I ran all my faucets, shut off and drained all boathouse lines and had no issues. temp was 26 Friday most all night in Jam Beach (yes I was up partying very late). My problem was dang gas heater-I think gas line pressure was low-had to go downsrairs 3 times and reset everything since it was blowing cold air after heating/working for about an hour or two at most, then would go cold and had blinking red lights.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I had a water heater problem I've never seen before. The thermocoulple was burned in half.
I gussing the flame stayed on so long it melted it, I dunno?
