  • Big Ugly Eagle Point

Had a great day on the water, couldnt catch a fish from 11-2 then these guys showed up.
Wife picked up two of them first 10 lbs , shown , second 7 lbs. It was he first day using
a spin-cast setup , she did fine. ( graudated from zebco ) . She fought the first one 3/4 the way around
the boat and didnt help here at all except coaching her how to keep it off the motor.

We released the first two and saved the last smaller 21" one ( about 5 pounds ) .

Unfortunatly we cleaned this smaller one on the boat, and it had what looked to be worms inside.
almost like maggiots, but no head or tail , looked weired. never seen anything like it . they guy went back
for shark and crabs . Kind of dissapointed , but thats good for the uglies , they go back like a hard head and
a large thank you for exciting fight. Momma likes when they pull drag.
We found them off of Eagle Point.

Those worms are just more protein when ya fry the fish-they are harmless to humans and found in trout also, so don't worry about the worms in the flesh.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. You did the right thing with those nasty things. Like the red drum, throw those nasty mofo's back in the water.

They have a diffrent type of pull, not freight train, but rather steady, they give up very little ground, and dont take a lot then like to circle the boat looking for something to break you off with.
I heard they were also at the end of the galveston jetties , .

Wife did not like the wormy look. I had problems convincing here the wiskers are not worms. they look like they are.
The released fish had external parisites , they carry the ugly name well.
