Yeah , it's a bad deal for me but again I'm not going to be a cry baby about it . It always could be worse ... Boat fire/explosion with me burned or dead . Think instead about the deceased kayaker and his family . My problem is just a boat and money , just a trifle compared to that situation . I know . Our only son was killed when he was 6 years old . I gave him CPR and was by his side when they pulled the life support system 10 hours later the day before Thanksgiving , November 21 , 2001 . After that day , I don't have bad days or bad situations . Nothing is as bad as that . Sadly , the kayakers family and my family share a burden I wish on no one . My heart goes out to them .

My boat is ready for pickup . Besides the new gas tank , I had the hull chips and deep scratches filled in and gel coat applied . They say it looks like a new boat . All that was over $8,700 .... Yeah , I briefly lost all feeling in my extremities and spittle oozed from the corners of my mouth . I had Kroll's Marine do a spring check up / tune up / fix up and finally install the battery charger which is why I took my boat in to start with .

I can't decide if the thing in the boat is just silly or kinda creepy .

ALL aluminum under the floor gas tanks will fail/leak sooner or later. Glad you got your boat back!

Glad to hear you are back on the water and will wetting your lines. Ouch on the price, but she is good as new from the sound of it and ready to fish another day.

The thing that matters is your back on the water with a fine boat…. That I want to go on I just got my HB refitted with a new poling platform, rod holders and new GPS. It feels like I got a new boat…

Awfully expensive way to get back on the water, but it's a really sweet ride. Welcome back Plugger.

Thank you everyone ... I picked it up yesterday after work . I left the office a little early (3:30 pm) , to get to Rosenberg . 3 hours to get there , storage unit , and home ... Whew ! It's been a while since I laid eyes on it .

The hull repair looks great and you couldn't tell they cut through the floor and removed the consule . Now that everything is suppose to work , it could use a professional cleaning and waxing . I've had the boat 10 years and am ashamed to say I've never waxed the boat . Any recommendations for a good clean and wax person /shop to do that ?
